This white paper summaries the value of the PR world involving people with varying physical & neurological abilities, as well as approaches to increase inclusion.

This study addresses the neglected topic of the connection between stewardship strategies and refugee organizations. Through analysis of online communication through websites and social media, the research reveals that six mainstream nonprofits helping refugees are missing an opportunity to engage with key publics. Stewardship is a crucial component of public relations and is necessary for nonprofit organizations to focus on as they attempt to reach their goals of growth, sustainability, and thriving.

This report centers around the International Rescue Committee, a non-profit whose work I truly believe in. I studied their digital strategy and tactics over the course of the fall 2020 semester, and placed my findings and recommendations into this final document. The report also includes what I learned from studying best practices, from earning my Google Analytics certification, and other components of the class. Near the end of the report you'll find example social media content that I designed myself to align with the posts that I've seen on IRC's profiles.

As part of building a client portfolio in a public relations writing course, my classmates and I learned the ins and outs of creating a stellar press release. My example is written for the organization Doctors Without Borders. The news release addresses the dire situation in refugee camp Moria.

Creating a dynamic broadcast script was an assignment that I truly enjoyed. I believe that a television or radio segment can have great influence, so it was challenging and fun to realize how crucial the power of each word is due to the short span of time.

This organizational feature story for Doctors Without Borders focuses on the story of young boy Ahmed, who lost his arm as a result of shrapnel from a barrel bomb. It ties in the history and mission of the organization.
